An ISO 50001 Energy Management System certificate has been awarded to Considerate Hoteliers for its Con-Serve™ data management system. Using energy efficiently helps organisations save money as well as helping to conserve resources and tackle climate change
ISO 50001 is a voluntary International Standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to provide organisations an internationally recognized framework to manage and improve their energy performance. Whereas the compliancy certificate for Con-Serve™ has been issued by a German body of certification, it is valid in all countries where the ISO 50001 can be completed. The standard addresses the following:
• Energy use and consumption
• Measurement, documentation, and reporting of energy use and consumption
• Design and procurement practices for energy-using equipment, systems, and processes
• Development of an energy management plan and other factors affecting energy performance that can be monitored and influenced by the organization
Con-Serve™ by Considerate Hoteliers is a data management system that helps hospitality businesses to reduce carbon emissions, identify inefficiencies and save costs. Our training and ongoing support enables clients to easily access, understand and apply the information and technologies provided towards sustainable solutions.
Considerate Hoteliers clients – from independent boutique hotels to international hotel groups – are already effectively tracking and managing their sustainability performance and reducing waste with this sophisticated, yet intuitive, user platform. We have a number of Con-Serve™ user case studies that we can share with you, if you get in touch.
We have been able to benchmark the sustainability performance of our 12 hotels which has allowed us to easily identify the leaders and laggards in the group.”
