Considerate Group have been working with CLEAN Linen services as since 2018.
As with all hospitality businesses and suppliers to the industry, it has certainly been a challenging 18 months for this laundry services company. But these Royal Warrant holders and Considerate suppliers still have much to celebrate!
As part of their ongoing commitment to reduce their overall emissions, CLEAN has partnered with TRAILAR, a fuel and emission reduction technology expert. The system harnesses free, clean energy from the sun to power electrical equipment such as the tail-lifts that are in frequent use when loading and off-loading laundry cages. Solar mats fitted to the top of delivery vehicles have significantly reduced the need to create electrical energy through the burning of diesel and are therefore saving fuel, CO2 and maintenance costs. The adoption of the technology has resulted in a 5.5% reduction in fuel usage that equates to a 1,475kg CO2 saving per vehicle each year.
CLEAN also continue to be recognised for their safety and quality standards.
In July this year, CLEAN was awarded its ninth consecutive RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Gold Medal Award for maintaining and improving high standards in health and safety.
The prestigious annual scheme recognises organisations that can demonstrate well-developed occupational health and safety management systems, a culture that is aware of and able to identify potential hazards, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
Hot off the press is also news that the transport team at their Slough laundry site has achieved a Gold RoSPA Fleet Safety Award – championing excellence and improvement in the key area of managing occupational road risk. This follows their silver award last year.
These safety-related awards follow their successful completion of the ISO 9001: 2015 certification back in March this year, one of the most rigorous and well-regarded quality management standards for laundry services in the world. The team at CLEAN were presented with their certificate in March 2021.
We are proud to work with an organisation so committed to continuous improvement in terms of environmental practices, health and safety and quality.
